Connecting to Nature & Heart
When I was growing up, the woods and forests scared me. I thought I was going to get eaten by a bear, lost or bitten by something poisonous.
When I got married to an outback kinda guy, I began to discover I liked camping, canoeing and seeing how beautiful our country really is in person…but I was still scared. It usually took me a few days to settle into a place of sleeping through the night.
I just realized this week, after a trip to Manitoulin Island and living in the bush, I am at total peace with nature in all its forms. I am no longer scared, fearful or anxious about being in the woods.
What changed?
Well on one hand I can say the more you do something, the easier it becomes. True.
However, while painting my bedroom green this past weekend, I realized how much my heart chakra has opened up over the years. Heart Chakra = Green Frequency
I have worked through so many heart-centered issues over the years and healed my heart from divorce, deaths, change and more. As I have healed, my love and need for the colour green has grown – as my love for the green forests have too.
Becoming at peace within myself has allowed me to be at peace in the forest.
I have also learned from forest walker and expert Brenda Masson, that trees secrete special essential oils to ward off insects and bugs. These essential oils diffuse into the air and when we breathe them in, we reduce stress, get mental clarity, increase our positive mindset and enhance lung capacity.
Thank goodness I now love nature hikes and exploring our many beautiful forests. I receive the green energy, reduce my stress and have a healthier heart chakra.
If you are suffering from grief, heartbreak, giving too much to others or just feeling overly emotional, find a walking trail and soak up the green energy of the forest.
Plus, our immune system, lungs and heart chakra will thank us for it during this time.
Keep living life colourfully!
Colourfully yours,
Angela
